Gel or Oild, the right way to cleanse

right way to cleanse

One of the most common causes of skin problems is improper skin care. It's easy to focus only on moisturizing, but in fact, it's very important to cleanse properly to keep your skin beautiful.

In this article, we asked beauty skin researcher Yumi Sugimoto to teach us how to properly cleanse our skin.

1: Remove all the dirt without leaving any residue!

Ideally, cleansing should remove all makeup, sebum, and unnecessary keratin.

If dirt is left behind during cleansing, it may cause skin problems such as clogged pores. Also, even if you apply skincare, moisture will not reach the stratum corneum, leading to dryness of the skin.

Therefore, it is important to remove all the dirt and grime when cleansing. For areas that are difficult to remove, such as point makeup, we recommend using a cleansing oil or point remover. It's good to be aware of cleansing products that are gentle to the skin, but be aware that products with weak cleansing power, such as milk-type products, may not be able to remove point makeup.

2: Don't remove too much moisture!

The basic rule of cleansing is to remove all the dirt without leaving any residue, but you don't want to remove too much moisture. Sebum may not sound like a good idea, but it is a natural moisturizer that is necessary to maintain the skin's moisture.

The ideal cleansing method is one that removes all unnecessary makeup and excess sebum, while not removing too much of the necessary moisture. Be careful with oil cleansers, as they have a strong cleansing power, and depending on the type, cleansing your entire face with oil may cause dryness.

If you find it difficult to use, it is best to use a cleanser that is suitable for both heavy makeup and light makeup. There are many cleansing products on the market these days, such as balm-type cleansers and cleansers with different textures. When choosing an item, try to select a type that won't leave you feeling tight after washing!

3: Don't scrub your face!

As is the case with skincare, irritating the skin is a no-no when it comes to creating beautiful skin. Of course, the same goes for cleansing. If you are scrubbing your face to get rid of dirt and grime, it's time to stop.

If you are using an oil or gel type cleanser and don't know how to control the amount of pressure, I recommend using a foaming cleanser. Make a fine, elastic foam and use it to cleanse your skin. Using foam will help you avoid scrubbing with your hands.

When it comes to achieving beautiful skin, people tend to focus only on moisturizing, but in fact, cleansing is the key.

In addition to choosing the right items, reviewing the correct cleansing method can make a big difference in the condition of your skin. Please refer to this article for more information.
